I told you guys we'd know a little more about this team after the Georgia game. Wow, that was a dominant win.
As much as Fulmer talked about "staying the course," I certainly saw some fresh looks from our beloved Vols:
1) How 'bout Ainge pitching the ball twice? I haven't seen that at UT in forever.
2) Whatever they call that new punt coverage formation was bizarre, but worked phenomenally well.
3) Going for it on 4th and 1 from the GA 40 with five-plus minutes left in the 3rd quarter after Georgia had a dominant drive to score their first points of the game. I'm sorry but "staying the course" Fulmer would have played field position in this situation last year.
Anyway, I'm glad to see the new looks and we now hold our own destiny in the SEC East-- and I've been saying all along that LSU is beatable, so this could turn out to be one great season.
Oh and was anyone else mildly annoyed with the way CBS kept harping on Richt's Road Dominance? Not once did they mention he is 1-5 against Florida. He's just lucky that it's not ever considered a road game as it it played in Jacksonville.
